  • 5. On call. I've been struggling with my weight for most of my 56 years. Despite a careful diet, I've crossed the line from overweight to obese. I know from reading Harvard Men's Health Watch that I should slim down--but I also read how hard it is and that most diets fail. If it's so hard to reduce, why do you bother writing about obesity? I'd rather read about something else!

But last week I couldn't even urinate at a friend's house, and I had to go home early just to use the bathroom. What can you suggest?

  • 20. On call. My 59-year-old husband just came home after being hospitalized for a mild heart attack. He was only in the hospital for five days and he feels great, though he does have to take three prescription medicines plus aspirin. I'm writing because my husband 's doctor doesn't want him to go back to work for another six weeks even though his job doesn't involve any lifting. I think the stress of staying home would be worse that going to work. Please advise.
