60. I had a hysterectomy and my ovaries were also removed in 1986, when I was 46. After combinations of estrogen in tablets and patches failed to relieve my hot flashes, my doctor tried monthly estrogen injections. They controlled my symptoms beautifully, and I have been taking them ever since. I have not been able to find much information about estrogen injections. is there any harm in taking the hormone this way?
