Abstract: A well-organized patient relations program can improve the quality of care while reducing risk to the organization. Patient relations is also a matter of the organization's survival in a competitive marketplace. The consumer's choice for healthcare will be made based on how the organization id differentiated from other organizations with otherwise common attributes. These distinct attributes set a product or organization apart from its competitors by creating a "personality" in the marketplace.
