Title: [Word list for evaluating oral language perception in children with total and partial hearing impairment]. Author: Villalba Pérez A, Ferrández Mora JA, Ros Blasco V. Journal: Acta Otorrinolaringol Esp; 1999 Mar; 50(2):151-7. PubMed ID: 10217691. Abstract: This article presents twelve lists of 25 words each that are counterbalanced for use in audiology. The lists are equivalent in phonetic and semantic complexity and difficulty for lipreading. The twelve TAV lists consist of a basic child's vocabulary known by profoundly deaf prolocutive children of school age. These lists allow the evaluation of lipreading, hearing, and language perception. They also make it possible to compare improvements made in technical aids. Four lists of 20 words are added for use with younger deaf children (preschool lists). These lists are useful for people with scant language development. Three training lists are included as well.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
