    Abstract:
    Selective coronary angiography was performed and cardiac catheterization was employed to study the indices of the myocardial contractility and the state of central haemodynamics in 20 patients with ischaemic heart disease, 24 patients with myocarditic cardiosclerosis complicated by cardiac fibrillation, 6 patients with "idiopathic" atrial fibrillation, and 20 patients with extracardiac pathology (controls). The data obtained by the author indicate that selective coronary angiography helps significantly in the differential diagnosis between myocarditic cardiosclerosis and ischaemic cardiomyopathy.
