Abstract: Hazard communication is made up of several basic concepts and key elements. The concepts of risk management, product information, documentation, employee training and compliance are individually discussed providing a basis for developing a program. An important part of any program is effective implementation. One key element, the Material Safety DAta Sheet (MSDS), is used to illustrate the preparation, review, and distribution of hazard communication information.
