    Abstract:
    The implementation of an adjunct to the unit dose IV system, the Prefilled IV Syringe and Volume Control Set, as an additive antibiotics program, has shown the practicality and efficiency of a centralized drug dispensing service, administered and monitored by qualified clinical pharmacists. Since the introduction of this system at Sir Mortimer B. Davis-Jewish General Hospital, the hospital's pharmacy has been able to achieve optimal cost savings in the amount of $332,500 annually.
