  • Title: The interpersonal environment.
    Author: Childers WC, Evans TD.
Journal: Adm Radiol; 1987 Feb; 6(2):29-33. PubMed ID: 10281208.
    Abstract:
For many radiology department employees, from transporters to radiologists, there is a great disparity between meaning well and doing well in the interpersonal arena. The missing ingredient seems to be significant training offered to employees by the institution. Providing the training is also a difficult trick for the institution because the deficits in interpersonal communication are not easily acknowledged by employees. This article has attempted to make a case for providing training and has suggested strategies that may be used by the institution to increase the probability that the training will be taken seriously. Further, a theoretical orientation to training was presented together with suggestions for the process.
