    Abstract:
    This notice sets forth a schedule of limits on home health agency (HHA) costs that may be reimbursed under the Medicare program. Limits are expressed as costs per visit. Although separate limits are established by type of service, we are applying them to each home health agency's total reasonable cost as a single "aggregate" limit, based on the cost limit multiplied by the agency's number of visits for each type of service. This is an annual update of the schedule and replaces the schedule published in the Federal Register on June 5, 1980 (45 FR 38014). It applies to cost reporting periods beginning on or after July 1, 1981, and remains in effect until superseded.
