    Physicians traditionally have been considered poor entrepreneurial businessmen and investors. But the healthcare executive who takes this generalization too literally will learn some lessons the hard way. Physicians represent the largest group of successful small businessmen in the country and unlike restaurateurs, retailers or service people, physicians survive and make money over 95 percent of the time.
