Title: The O-chain polysaccharide of the lipopolysaccharide of Xanthomonas campestris pv. begoniae GSPB 525 is a partially L-xylosylated L-rhamnan. Author: Senchenkova SN, Shashkov AS, Laux P, Knirel YA, Rudolph K. Journal: Carbohydr Res; 1999 Jun 30; 319(1-4):148-53. PubMed ID: 10520263. Abstract: The O-chain polysaccharide (OPS) of the lipopolysaccharide of Xanthomonas campestris pv. begoniae GSPB 525 was found to contain L-rhamnose and L-xylose in the ratio 1:0.6. The OPS lacked strict regularity because of nonstoichiometric xylosylation of the main rhamnan chain. Based on methylation analysis, Smith degradation, and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, including COSY, TOCSY, NOESY, and H-detected 1H,13C heteronuclear multiple-quantum coherence (HMQC) experiments, the following structure of the OPS was established: [formula: see text].[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
