Nowadays, Ultra-high resolution CT scan is the method of choice to detect traumatic, tumoral or inflammatory lesions. MR imaging is frequently proceed in second place after CT evaluation. MR remains essential to evaluate the extension of malignant tumor of the temporal bone in particular to the fatty tissues or cerebral parenchyma.
