Title: Distribution of glands in the mucosa of the hard palate and its relation to carcinoma. Author: Reddy CR, Venkatarathnam G, Kameswari VR. Journal: J Oral Surg; 1976 Mar; 34(3):232-6. PubMed ID: 1062520. Abstract: Carcinoma of the hard palate in women who practice reverse smoking is very common in Visakhapatnam. This carcinoma usually occurs in the middle of the posterior half of the hard palate and not in the soft palate or in the anterior half of hard palate. The volume of the glandular tissue in the mucosa of the hard palate is maximum to the right or left half of the midline in the posterior half in both fetuses and adults. The localization of the carcinoma of the hard palate in reverse smokers corresponds to the glandular area of the mucosa of the hard palate.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
