Title: Inactivation of viruses by aziridines. Author: Burrage T, Kramer E, Brown F. Journal: Dev Biol (Basel); 2000; 102():131-9. PubMed ID: 10794100. Abstract: Ethyleneimine (EI) and N-acetylethyleneimine (AEI) have been shown to inactivate viruses belonging to most of the families described by the International Committee for the Taxonomy of Viruses. The mechanism by which they inactivate the viruses has not been established. In this paper, experiments with foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) and poliovirus are described which indicate that the inactivating lesion is on the RNA.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
