    Abstract:
    In this paper we describe an integration and extension of the software tools in current use by the medical community to provide a sophisticated system for representing and acquiring medical knowledge. For the overall structure of the system that we describe, we propose that a web-based hyperlink system be implemented for representing almost all medical knowledge in a multi-rooted tree-structure form. The extension of the database involved to include patient records is discussed. The paper describes the role of contributors to the system as well as users, commentators, and organizers.
