PubMed ID: 10918026. Abstract: The treatment of chronic subdural hematoma by craniotomy was the procedure of choice in the early part of this century. It has since been replaced by less invasive techniques but retains a limited role in the management of this condition. A new procedure involving a small craniectomy and marsupialization of the hematoma cavity to the temporalis muscle is described.
