Abstract: Ridge preservations is the prevention of the 40-60% jawbone atrophy that normally takes place two to three years postextraction. It is the new paradigm in patient care that is effective, simple, and beneficial for a multitude of reasons. It is achieved by the immediate grafting of the extraction socket with or without the use of an immediate implant.
