Abstract: Psychosislike reactions to ovulation inhibitors in young women are a possible side effect. Combined estrogen-gestagen preparations seem to be more frequently implicated. Use of sequential or "minidose" preparat ions may be tried, but if psychotic symptoms persist, and psychotherapy cannot identify other causes, medication must be stopped.
