    Abstract:
    Two groups of patients with aortic-valve disease were compared. Group I (18 patients) received prosthetic valves, group II (12 patients) homograft valves. The symptoms and haemodynamic findings improved in both groups, postoperatively. Complications were more frequent with prosthetic than homograft valves, and the haemodynamic responses also were better in the homograft group, especially during exercise.
