Diagnostic tools have been improved over the past decades, but still, diagnosis of severe osteochondral defects may be delayed. The presented case report describes the different techniques currently being available for the diagnosis of osteochondral flake fractures. The different therapeutic options for the treatment of osteochondral flake fractures in children are discussed based on the current literature.
