Abstract: We report a successful surgical case of 78-year-old woman with aortoesophageal fistula subsequent to the operation for sealed rupture of thoracic aortic aneurysm. She underwent one-stage operation consisted of esophagectomy, transmediastinal interposition of the stomach and esophagogastroanastomosis, to re-establish the gastrointestinal tract.
