    Abstract:
    A summary of the House and Senate appropriations proposals concerning AIDS-related program funding for FY96 is presented. The following programs are discussed: the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act, the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS Program (HOPWA). Differences in these bills will be addressed in a conference following the October 2-10 recess. Meanwhile, AIDS funding will continue in the new fiscal year, beginning October 1, 1995, under the continuing resolution.
