Title: Fleming, Levi to leave White House AIDS office. Journal: AIDS Policy Law; 1996 Nov 29; 11(21):1, 13. PubMed ID: 11364038. Abstract: Two key personnel changes in the White House Office of National AIDS Policy were announced. Patricia Fleming, President Clinton's coordinator of national AIDS policy will leave in the early part of 1997. Deputy coordinator Jeff Levi will leave on December 1, 1996. No names have been mentioned as possible successors. AIDS advocates have been generally pleased with Fleming's performance; some argue that she did not succeed in increasing public awareness of AIDS issues. Fleming organized the White House Conference on AIDS in December 1995 and presented a report to the President urging increased efforts to prevent HIV among young people.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
