Abstract: Most experts recommend hepatitis vaccines for people who are HIV-positive as the risk factors for both diseases are similar, but there is no firm link between viral hepatitis and the health or longevity of people with HIV. There are five forms of hepatitis, with varying health impacts, and experts estimate that as many as 75 percent of HIV-positive people either have Hepatitis B or have had it in the past.
