    Abstract:
    The National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors (NASTAD) and the AIDS Treatment Data Service compiled a study on how States implement and manage AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAPs). The study shows a wide disparity in access from State to State, and shows that States with weak Medicaid programs tend to have higher expenses in their ADAP programs. The national survey found that more than 43,000 people relied on ADAPs. A table details the program funding in each State.
