    The University of Pennsylvania Medical School is enrolling volunteers in a phase I trial of Savvy, a microbicide manufactured by Biosyn, Inc. Savvy, a vaginal gel, will be tested both for its contraceptive effectiveness and its ability to prevent transmission of STDs, including HIV. The study will compare it to nonoxynol-9.
