    It has been shown that synthetic antioxidant 4-methyl-2, 6-ditrebuthylphenole (ionole) inhibits free radical oxidation of phospholipids in the membranes of endoplasmic reticulum, increases the life time of cytochrome P-448 after its induction with 20 methylcholantrene.
