Title: Acute effects of dry immersion upon blood supply of calf muscles during upright exercise. Author: Stoida Y, Vinogradova O. Journal: J Gravit Physiol; 1996 Sep; 3(2):18-9. PubMed ID: 11540266. Abstract: Healthy males performed upright exercise before and after three days of dry immersion. During exercise, calf blood flow, heart rate, and oxygen consumption were measured. Immersion resulted in increased heart rate and oxygen ventilatory equivalent, and decreased calf blood flow. Implications for the alterations in blood flow dynamics are discussed.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
