Title: Intravitreal hemorrhage associated with rapid increase in intracranial pressure (Terson's syndrome). Author: Khan SG, Frenkel M. Journal: Am J Ophthalmol; 1975 Jul; 80(1):37-43. PubMed ID: 1155547. Abstract: Four patients manifested Terson's syndrome in association with increased intracranial pressure. Three patients had subarachnoid hemorrhages, while the fourth suffered strangulation. Vitreous hemorrhage probably is related to the rapid increase in intracranial pressure with compression of the central retinal vein and its choroidal anastamotic channels.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
