  • Title: Spain: new problems, new books.
    Author: Gracia D.
Journal: Hastings Cent Rep; 1988; 18(4):S29-30. PubMed ID: 11650802.
    Abstract:
The dramatic increase in ideological pluralism in Spain has led to the growth of bioethical literature concerned with balancing the different moral opinions proper to a pluralistic society with a universality of moral principles. More concrete problems, formulated in statutory laws, include the definition of death and the ethics of organ donation, the distribution of health benefits, the choice between a socialized or private health care system, and the ethical dilemmas raised by new reproductive technologies, particularly in vitro fertilization and artificial insemination.
