Title: Late effects of subarachnoid haemorrhage on the response of the primate cerebral circulation to drug-induced changes in arterial blood pressure. Author: Pickard JD, Boisvert DP, Graham DI, Fitch W. Journal: J Neurol Neurosurg Psychiatry; 1979 Oct; 42(10):899-903. PubMed ID: 117081. Abstract: The ability of the cerebral circulation to maintain a constant level of cerebral blood flow with halothane-induced hypotension and angiotensin-induced hypertension was found to be impaired one week after subarachnoid haemorrhage in the baboon. No evidence of hypoxic brain damage was found. The clinical significance of these findings is discussed.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
