Title: [Focal hemorrhagic chorioiditis (author's transl)]. Author: Schildberg P, Wessing A. Journal: Klin Monbl Augenheilkd; 1975 May; 166(5):651-9. PubMed ID: 1177394. Abstract: The clinical and fluorescenzangiographic followup of 111 patients revealed, that focal hemorrhagic chorioiditis is a chronic disease with poor prognosis for visual acuity. After a median follow-up period of more than two years, only half of all involved eyes showed inactive scarring of the lesions. In 13% both eyes were involved. Corticosteroids, antiphlogistics and vasoactive drugs had no significant influence on the course of the disease. The therapeutic results with photocoagulation were more favorable. In 15 of 25 photocoagulated eyes a fast and permanent regression of the choroidal proliferations could be achieved.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
