Journal: Int J Antimicrob Agents; 2002 Jan; 19(1):47-52. PubMed ID: 11814767. Abstract: The in vitro activity of moxifloxacin was compared with that of other antimicrobial agents against 470 bacterial strains isolated from patients with respiratory tract infection. Bacteria studied included 110 penicillin susceptible and 110 penicillin non-susceptible Streptococcus pneumoniae, 50 strains of S. pyogenes, 120 strains of Haemophilus influenzae and 80 strains of Moraxella catarrhalis.
