    Author: Ugnenko NM, Novikov IuG.
Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1975 Feb; 114(2):74-8. PubMed ID: 1189222.
    Abstract:
Based on phlebo- and lymphography findings patients with congenital arterio-venous fistulas of the lower extremities and in experimental construction of intervascular shunts on different levels of the caudal vena cava basin, it was found that changes in lymphatic collectors of the curs and femur depended directly on venous insufficiency and duration of the disease. In damaged micro- and macroscopic shunts changes in lymph vessels are characterised by a number of peculiarities. Functional and morphological changes in the vascular bed of limbs in patients with congenital and experimentally produced arteriovenous shunts are characterized by a stage development of progressive disturbances.
