Title: [Pulmonary valve atresia with intact interventricular septum in the grown child and the adult]. Author: Ramos M, Dekhili L, Bouchard F, Maurice P. Journal: Arch Mal Coeur Vaiss; 1979 Dec; 72(12):1382-9. PubMed ID: 120157. Abstract: Atresia of the pulmonary valve with an intact interventricular septum is a rare cyanotic congenital cardiac malformation. Rare at birth, it is exceptionally rare for cases to survive over 5 years. Three cases of porlonged survival aged eleven nineteen and thirty-four years are reported. In the latter case, the abnormality was probably aquired. Prolonged survival is related to a collateral pulmonary circulation. Surgical treatment is discussed with respect to the anatomical features. Good results were obtained in the two operated cases.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
