Title: Convergent and discriminant validity of the Arabic Obsessive-Compulsive Scale for Kuwaiti and American college students. Author: Abdel-Khalek A, Lester D. Journal: Psychol Rep; 2002 Jun; 90(3 Pt 2):1261-2. PubMed ID: 12150416. Abstract: In two samples of 87 Kuwaiti and 73 American undergraduates, scores on the Arabic Obsessive-Compulsive Scale correlated .71 and .63 with those on another obsession scale, respectively, while they correlated .49 and .19 with scores on a depression scale. The differences between these correlations in the two samples indicated good convergent and discriminant validity of the Arabic Obsessive-Compulsive Scale in both cultures.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
