Title: Angioarchitectural characteristics of the anterodorsal surface of aging and young rabbit tongue: scanning electron microscopy study. Author: Lopes MG, Kronka MC, Watanabe I, Silva MC. Journal: Ann Anat; 2002 Jul; 184(4):397-400. PubMed ID: 12201051. Abstract: The three-dimensional angioarchitecture of young and aging rabbit tongues were studied using a vascular corrosion cast method. The vascular network of different lingual papillae were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Young animals showed filiform papillae distributed all over considered area, with fungiform ones among them. In comparison to developed specimens, young rabbits demonstrated dense and higher organization of microvascular network.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
