    Abstract:
    OBJECTIVE: To establish a HPCE method to determine the contents of alkalods in Rhizoma Coptidis. METHOD: HPCE. RESULT: The constituents thus determined have good linearity and separation. The average recovery of coptisine, berberine, palmatine and jatrorrhizine was 98.28%, 98.38%, 97.78% and 98.89% respectively and RSD 0.86%, 1.12%, 1.06% and 1.11% respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is convenient, rapid, accurate and practicable. The compatibility reduces the contents of alkaloids in Rhizoma Coptidis in different degrees.
