PubMed ID: 12239917. Abstract: We report a case of rectal carcinoid tumor totally resected by endoscopy. A 48-year-old male complained of abdominal discomfort. Digital examination revealed a slightly hard mass. Colonoscopy demonstrated a slightly hard mass measuring 13 mm in diameter in the rectum, 5 cm from the anal verge. Endoscopic resection was successfully performed and histological examination led to a diagnosis of carcinoid tumor. No local remnant lesion or distant metastasis was found.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
