    Abstract:
    The clinical data of 812 patients with Multiple Sclerosis were recorded on optical mark reader-sheets and analyzed with the help of a computer program. In addition to statistical data on the sex ratio, mean age at onset, mean duration of illness the influence of some factors on prognosis were evaluated. The ability to work and walk was dependent on the duration of the disease and the type of the course, independent however of the age at onset and of the sex. The correlation between the clinical data and laboratory results is expected to give clues to the etiology and/or pathogenesis of the disease.
