    Abstract:
    The Food and Agriculture Organization has used 71 indicators of general development, agricultural performance, and agricultural policy to classify the development status of countries and as a tool for determining possible development paths leading to specific objectives. Household budget and food consumption survey data as well as medical and other nutrition data could be used in a similar manner to construct indicators that would add a nutritional dimension to planning and evaluating nutrition strategies and programs.
