    Abstract:
    The migration of Arabs and non-Arabs to the oil-producing countries of the Middle East is examined for the period since the oil price rises of 1973. The consequences of this migration for labor-importing states and labor-exporting states are examined separately. The author concludes that the effects of this migration are proving largely negative for both groups of countries under the existing conditions of capitalist development and the unequal distribution of wealth.
