    Abstract:
    This US Act does the following, among other things: 1) provides for 15,000 additional visas for each of the fiscal years 1989 and 1990 for persons adversely affected by Public Law 89-236 relating to immigration; and 2) provides for 10,000 additional visas for each of the fiscal years 1990 and 1991 for immigration from "underrepresented countries." "Underrepresented countries" are defined as countries whose natives have received less than 25% of the maximum immigrant visas available to them in fiscal year 1988.
