    Abstract:
    In 1991, the government of Namibia created a Department of Women's Affairs. The objectives of the Department are: a) to integrate women into all development programs; b) to coordinate women's programs; c) to establish links with international women's organizations; d) to establish a network among governmental and non-governmental organizations; and e) to advise the government and assist in the eradication of discriminatory laws.
