  • Title: A simple method of vaginal sterilization.

    Abstract:
    A variation of vaginal tubal ligation was performed in 55 cases at the Queen Mary's Hospital in Lucknow, India. After a year the first case returned with an ectopic pregnancy, but no other pregnancies have occurred. The operation is a modification of the Clyman technique which renders the culdoscope unnecessary. In order to perform the operation without the culdescope, the fundus must be brought into view. The steps of the operation are detailed. The procedure is done under local anesthetic and takes 10-15 minutes.
