Title: [Reproductive behavior in two groups of young women. Arroyo Naranjo municipality, 1981]. Author: Roja Perez N, Alvarez Vazquez L. Journal: Rev Cuhana Adm Salud; 1985; 11(2):172-84. PubMed ID: 12314076. Abstract: It is reported that in Cuba, the distribution of fecundity by age group has always presented its upper level at the ages of 20-24. However, during recent years, there has been a decrease in age. A study of characteristics of women in the 15-19 year and 20-24 year age groups may help in comprehending the evolution of this social phenomenon. This study, carried out in a municipal area of Cuba gathered information to establish an initial hypothesis concerning differential aspects of these women in relation to their reproductive behavior, measured by the act of giving birth to a child or not. It seems that the reproductive behavior of women in both of these age groups is different with regard to the characteristics under investigation, whether it be in the personal or familial environment.
