    Abstract:
    The nuptiality and fertility patterns of those under age 18 in the Czech part of Czechoslovakia are analyzed and compared with those in other developed countries. The author notes that there have been no significant changes since 1970 despite the pro-natalist legislation adopted in the early 1970s. Most marriages at this age are due to pregnancy, with premarital conception more often resulting in marriage than in abortion. (SUMMARY IN ENG AND RUS)
