    Abstract:
    34 rats of approximately 8 months of age were vasectomized. The prostate and seminal vasicles were observed under an elctron microscope on the 5th, 15th, and 30th, day after the operation in order to determine the influence of the vasectory cells on these organs. An increase in prostate secretion was noted in the 1st period afer the operation which decreased to below normal levels in the later periods. A decrease in the secretory capability of the epithelial cells of the seminal vesicles was observed only in the 1st period after the operation. Electron microscopic photographs are presented.
