    Abstract:
    This Decree creates a National Co-ordinating Committee as a mechanism for channeling help provided through international cooperation for the development of programs in Costa Rica required by refugees and displaced persons. The duties of the Committee are the following: 1) to establish, promote, and carry out coordination between organizations and agencies, national and international, for the execution of projects helping refugees and displaced persons; 2) to coordinate activities allowing responsible organizations to formulate plans directed at refugees and displaced persons; 3) to recommend the way in which aid given by the international community for refugees and displaced persons should be channeled; 4) to make financing proposals to cooperating countries and international and national organizations; and e) to prepare reports relating to advances in international cooperation with respect to programs for refugees and displaced persons.
