Abstract: This Guinea Decree provides that the Institute for Child Nutrition and Health is charged with the implementation of the government's policy with respect to the nutrition and health of children. In particular, it is to do the following: 1) offer specialized care to the newborn; to sick children, in general; and to children having nutritional problems, in particular; 2) undertake applied research in the areas of food and nutrition and the health of children; 3) participate in cooperating with specialized institutions in the organization of training of personnel responsible for the health of children (basic training, specialized training, and local training); and 4) promote the scientific popularization of material relating to nutrition and food and to the health of the newborn and children in general.
